"In Relation to God"

There are these trouble moments in a person's life
When they realize, some things just aren't right
Following the life of Christ isn't as easy for sinful flesh, but some of s could at least try
Develop a relationship with God, I was always told
But a visitor comes in church, and then...
(Sassy voice) "girl, her skirt is way too short!"
That skirt is worth more than your judgement, because she lost the others in a house fire
Yet, she was determined to come to church to worship
"You see all his tattoos? That isn't what God wants in His holy sanctuary."
Underneath that man's shirt are bullet holes recently gained, and he wants to find his worth somewhere
Leaving his past buried in the dirt
But your brain's focus is on the ink
You could probably sink one of Heaven's angels into depression, just by expressing the way you think.
Yet instead of building relationships with others for sake of the kingdom, you judge them
(Chris Brown's voice) Please don't judge me
And all the while, you're having relations with somebody discreetly in the church
And shipping off gossip, I mean garbage to the docks of someone else's ear drums
If I were brand new, without knowing the word of God or anything about the church
I'd probably leave too
But you?
You have a chance
Dance when Heaven's gates visualize a new heart eager for God
Because one day, those gates will open with expectancy
And your relationship with God and others will be reviewed
I hope you intend to be in that number
