- No one has a liking for half-hearted involvement
Like they want partial effort for a problem, and they need you to solve it
Senseless
It would be apparent that you lost your senses
If your methods of commitment and participation are laced with seconds in which you didn't give your all
Men and women rise and fall, when that one second passes, and they weren't on top of their game
The deterrent for "I kinda sorta" tried, is to pour out everything
Am I telling you a lie?
- We wish to wage war against evil, by the side of the Son of the Most High
Yet you haven't surrendered the bulk of your enshrouded life, to the one who vanishes darkness with His light
Our stride could have just a tad bit more pride
But our nights are when we invite the double life to be known
While the Creator watches lovingly from His throne
Saddened by the acts we perform, via the sins we seem to hold close to our chest
As if that is the weapon we deem is best suited for our lives
The sword of the Spirit, replaced by a knife covered in unbelief and lies
As if we wish to set a table to welcome the strife
Now is the time you reflect...
Stop
- Use this moment as the mind bathes in conviction, questioning, and comprehension
To intentionally devote everything to the hands of the Master
Whose fingertips are better equipped to deal with what you can't seem to release
Oh you didn't know the sin you hold dear is a form of slavery?
Or that the worldly desires that you obsess over are what bind you, as if someone tied you by your hands and feet?
You wish to walk stages where others can see you and see victory
But as God refines, tests, and prunes you
He sees gold in your eyes
While you have yet to let go of that bronze trophy
You cry "holy is the Lord"
This is your story, this is your song
But as you praise your Savior throughout all of the day
His name is forgotten when you talk about "what's her name"
Or blame someone for your malicious intentions, followed by despicable movement
You want to be all in?
Prove it!
Your possessions, your character traits, you fears, the names that fire you up, and ignite hate
Reveal it all for God to see
And hand it over
For the bets are on
And shaky feelings can never win, or meet victory at the end of the line
You've got to be all in
