An Upper Room Experience (Prayer Meeting 7/24/19)

Updated: Aug 2, 2019

Prayer changes things...prayer truly changes things! Wednesday night prayer meeting is always fulfilling to me. There's so much substance to find, when you join your brethren in seeking the face & power of the great I Am! Humanity doesn't always remember, but God is real! His fingerprint is everywhere...even when most people rather not look to find it. We've got to come to terms with our need for His love & grace, and truly, that was pointed out tonight.

Those who claim to follow the divine Commander in Chief have to remember something of great importance. We are conduits of our Savior! We are to be like him, and we tend to neglect the fact that as he suffered, we too will endure suffering. As he was persecuted, we too will experience persecution. We are to present our bodies as a living sacrifice! We must endure the fire, but we will make it through, if we hold on to the Most High!

Pastor Moses Eli, of the Beth-El Seventh-Day Adventist Church, in Jersey City, NJ

Pastor Moses Eli created an atmosphere of prayer meeting which was different than the norm. Essentially, it was quite intriguing, and we found ourselves captivated by further understanding of why true Christians must go through suffering. We are refined by the fire, yes, but others are going through their own fiery torment. If one who is suffering sees you, and relates to you, then your torment can become a ministerial opportunity for testimony later, and bonding to that confounded soul.

Our Father has houses and lands we can only dream of, and honestly that plus so much more than what the human mind could fathom. Yes, we will eventually fund abundance, and if faithful & obedient, and abiding in our Sovereign Creator, much will be granted. Yet, our hands should not rise to the sky as if all will be as perfection, because the enemy we cannot see does create chaos, and suffering is allowed, and readily implemented in this journey. The questions remain still; how will others see us react to our suffering? Do we truly understand, that even in our suffering...it isn't always about us?
